Hedison started her career in photography by releasing her first series of abstract landscapes at Rose Gallery in the year 2002. Alexandra Hedison’s creations were represented in public and private art collections worldwide. In July 2008, a sequence of her large format photographs named “Ithaka” was first displayed in London. The same year “Ithaka” was exhibited in the New Yorker’s 2008 Passport to the Arts and Month of Photography.

The title “Ithaka” was extracted from the C.P. Cavafy poem. The caption “The In-Between” showcased many of her arts and pictures of Paris storefronts and in construction sites throughout the city. Apart from photography she also directed and acted in films. Hedison directed an animated movie “In the Dog House” and a documentary film “The Making of Suit Yourself“ both launched in the year 2005. Hedison performed as a con artist named “Dylan Moreland” in the television drama “The L Word” that aired on Showtime Network.
