Sandra Annette Bullock is an American actress and producer who was born on July 26, 1964, in Arlington, Virginia, U.S. Her mother Helga Mathilde is an opera singer and voice teacher from Germany, and her father John Wilson Bullock was a part-time voice coach, and an Army employee.

Bullock was raised in Nuremberg, Germany for 12 years and hence she grew up speaking Germany. Bullock was a cheerleader and a performer in school theater when she attended school in Washington-Lee High School. When she moved to New York, she supported herself by doing jobs like a cocktail waitress, bartender, and coat checker.
