Sara Gilbert was born as Sara Rebecca Abeles on 29th January 1975 in Santa Monica, California, to Harold Abeles and Barbara Cowan. She has four half-siblings- Melissa Gilbert, Jonathan Gilbert, Patrice, and Joseph- two each from her mother and father.

Sara Gilbert worked as an actress and as a co-host on many talk shows. She is known for her role in the ABC sitcom Roseanne where she played the role of Darlene Conner from 1988 to 1997.
