DIY Detox Foot Soak Recipes

1. Bentonite Clay and Apple Cider Vinegar Foot Soak


  • Bentonite Clay- 2 tbsp
  • Apple Cider Vinegar-1 tbsp
  • Epsom Salts-1/2 cup
  • Hot water- To fill the bucket
  • Essential oils – 10 drops(optional)

Recipe and Process of Using:

Mix 1/2 cup Epsom salt with hot water and set it on a towel. Take a bowl and combine 2 tablespoons of bentonite clay with a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. To this, add some water for dilution, if needed and coat the mixture on the feet. Let it stay for 10 minutes so it dries us.(1)

Then, add some essential oils to the water bucket and put your feet in it. This will gradually dissolve the hardened clay. Continue soaking in for 15 minutes and then scrub your feet gently with a natural brush. Pat them dry and go to bed to have a relaxing sleep.

2. Oxygen Detox Foot Soak


  • Hydrogen peroxide: 2 cups
  • Dried ginger: 1 tbsp

Recipe and Process of Using: Take a tub and fill it with warm water. Add the ginger and hydrogen peroxide to it and soak in the feet in it for about half an hour or more.(2)

  • Epsom salt- 2 cups
  • Warm water- 1 full tub

This soak is suitable for someone who doesn’t have any open sores or ulcers in the feet. Fill the tub with water and add Epsom salt to it. Soak your feet in it for about 40 minutes for a relaxing feel.

4. Apple Cider Vinegar Detox Foot Soak


  • Apple cider vinegar- 1 cup
  • Warm water- 1 full tub

Recipe and Process of Using: Add the apple cider vinegar to the tub full of warm water and soak your feet for 20 minutes. Then fat your feet dry.(3)

5. Lemon Detox Foot Soak


  • Lemon-1 big
  • Olive oil- 1tbsp
  • Milk-1/4th cup
  • Warm water- 1 full tub

Recipe and Process of Using:

Combine the above ingredients in the water tub and soak in your feet. The milk moisturizes the feet and the lemon creates a natural fragrance. It has anti-oxidants too, which make it a soothing foot soak.(4)
