How to Use Castor oil for Acne?




Acne are very embarrassing. It has always plagued people by its presence. They are formed by oil trapped below the skin. It is caused due to a germ build up in the pores of the skin. It is a serious blow to our confidence when these acne show up. We try everything possible to get rid of them. Most of the time we lean towards cosmetics for our rescue but we must consider home remedies as well. They are effective and cheap.   • Castor oil acts as a natural cleanser removing all the dirt, dead skin cells, bacteria, excess oil etc.
  • It is full of antibacterial, anti fungal and antiviral properties.
  • It is an important source of ricinoleic acid that helps fighting acne.

How to use Castor oil for Acne:

1. Olive oil and Castor oil for Acne:

Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon castor oil

Procedure:

  • Mix the two oils
  • Cleanse your face with warm water.
  • Gently rub the oil mix on the affected areas in a circular motion
  • Let it rest overnight
  • Rub away the excess oil from your face
  • Wash with cold water.

Repetitions: Thrice a week.

Preparation Time: 2 minutes.

2. Tea Tree oil and Castor oil for Acne:

Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon of castor oil
  • A few drops of tea tree oil

Procedure:

  • Mix the two oils
  • Cleanse your face with warm water.
  • Gently rub the oil mix on the affected areas in a circular motion
  • Let it rest overnight
  • Wash with cold water in the morning.

Repetitions: 4 to 5 times a week.

  • 12 tablespoon castor oil
  • 2½ tablespoon beeswax
  • 1½ tablespoon zinc oxide
  • 12 drops of essential oils

Procedure:

  • In a container melt the beeswax on a double boiler and add the olive oil.
  • Remove container from heat and add zinc oxide and essential oil
  • Mix well and pour into a jar for storage
  • Apply to the affected area like ointment.
  • Let it rest overnight and wash off with cold water.

Repetitions: Daily.

Preparation Time: 10 – 15 minutes.

Best Time To Apply: Overnight.

4. Baking Soda and Castor oil for Acne:

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoon baking soda
  • 2 tablespoon castor oil

Procedure:

  • Make a paste with ingredients
  • Clean your face thoroughly
  • Apply the mix to affected areas
  • Leave for 20 minutes
  • Rinse with cold water.

  • Gently massage mixture in affected areas.
  • Leave overnight
  • Wash with cold water

Repetitions: Daily.

Best Time To Apply: Overnight.

How It Work: Jojoba oil is anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory in nature.
