Pink or Alecia Beth Moore was born on September 8th, 1979 in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, U.S. This 42-year-old American songwriter and singer identify herself as an Irish-German-Lithuanian-Jew. Her mother Judith Moore was an emergency room nurse and her father James Moore was an insurance salesman. Pink developed medical issues like asthma at a very early stage of her life.

Pink did her primary schooling at Central Bucks High School West where is joined her first band called Middleground. She started writing at an early stage of her life to which her mother said, “Her initial writings were always very introspective. Some of it was very black, and very deep, almost worrisome.”

At the age of 14, she managed to become a part of the all-female group Basic Instinct but the group never released any material. Later, at the age of 16, pink formed a band, R&B along with two other girls, Sharon Flanagan and Chrissy Conway. The band recorded their first song, Key to My Heart, and sent it to LaFace Records. This song created a mark on musician L. A. Reid which made the band earn their first contract.
